The Pressure Wash Co.

Frequently Asked Question

What makes us different from the rest?

We are different in 3 ways:

Our Service – We offer excellent communication and service to our clients. ‘Service’ is the #1 core value of our company which we aim to live out every day.

Our People – We pay all our team members above industry average and health benefits so that they can provide for their families. We will not be your cheapest price but we aim to be the best value. We attract staff that really care about the work they perform, and our team will clean your home as if it were their own.

Our Commitment to Integrity, Quality, and Consistency – We hold ourselves to a higher standard, in all aspects of pressure washing. We have quality controls in place at every turn in order to achieve consistency because without consistency how can we expect to keep our customer base.

How long does the cleaning typically take?
We can do a house in 30 minutes, or it can take hours. It really comes down to the number of projects you hire us for, the size of the property and how much dirt and algae needs to be removed. You’re paying us for the amazing results, we don’t charge by the hour. We will let you know how long we think it will take once we work up the quote. Our goal is to work efficiently but take our time to really get all the nooks and crannies! Attention to detail is what will make your home really shine.
Are you Insured and Licensed?

Yes we are fully covered and licensed. We also have Workers Compensation for our employees. You, the homeowner, can have peace of mind when you hire us for your exterior house washing.

What areas do you service?

We are based in beautiful Orefield, PA. We offer our services to homeowners and businesses in the surrounding Lehigh Valley areas. We are able to service areas slightly outside of this region on a ‘per job’ basis.

Is there any cost for an Estimate? And do I need to be home for the Estimate?

Absolutely not! And we can visit your home or business without you being there. We will see the scope of the desired work and then offer you a no-obligation quote. All our quotes will be to remove organic stains and debris.

If you are home, that would be great so we can walk around the property together. If you’re not able to be home, don’t sweat it, we can do the estimate anyway as our work is outdoors.

Is there a discount if I pay with Cash?

Unfortunately, we do not offer cash discounts. We encourage cash or checks though, as the credit card processing fees can really add up. We do offer cash back through our amazing referral program. Please ask your sales rep about it. You can earn money by helping us clean your friends and families’ properties.

How much does it cost?

The image of a clean environment can be priceless. Pressure washing is inexpensive compared to the cost of repainting or replacing damaged roofs or siding. Get a free quote by giving us some detailed information about your home and other cleaning needs. We have some of the latest equipment that not only saves us time but saves you money.

When and how do I pay?

Great question, we ask for a 25% deposit to lock in the date on our calendars. This way it helps us to keep cash flowing for materials needed to clean and pay out our awesome staff. The remainder is due on the day of the job - by way of cash, check or the credit card we have on file from the deposit. It is up to you.

How long is the estimate valid for?

Once we provide a quote it is valid for 30 days.

Do you have a minimum?

Yes we do. Our minimum charge for a visit from our crew is $300.00.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes we do. We want to make doing business with us easy! We accept all major credit cards.

Do you offer neighborhood discounts?

Yes, we do! If both you and your neighbor(s) book together, you all receive 5% off your estimate. That discount is across the board on all our cleaning services.

What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing uses cold or hot water and needs to cut through the dirt and grime with PSI and then wash it away clean using GPM of water. Soft washing simply uses a blend of chemicals that is very gently applied at extremely low PSI and uses a lot more GPM to wash it away after the chemicals do most of the cleaning for us. Soft washing is much less invasive and is the go-to style of cleaning for roofs exclusively. Pressure washing would be the way we would clean concrete surfaces, brick and other hard surfaces. We treat siding and roofs with our soft wash delicate touch.

Are your cleaning agents safe for plants and pets?

We use eco-friendly chemicals that, once diluted and rinsed, are safe for plants and pets. We will wet all surfaces, wet/rinse again during the cleaning process and again during post-treatment. By watering continuously, it dilutes the detergents down to such small levels of parts per million they are no longer active. With that being said, waiting an hour or two before letting out dogs and kids play again is highly recommended.

How often is home washing necessary?

The frequency of pressure or soft washing depends on the specific needs of your property. Generally, it's recommended to wash your property at least once a year. You can sign up for our annual program and you will receive an added discount.

Can you remove the gum and dirt on the concrete walkways at my store?

Yes we can use hot water that will remove gum and dirt.

I’m a property manager / board member, do you clean HOA communities?
Yes we do. We work with HOA’s to help keep the community looking fresh and consistent. We offer special discounts for scheduling multiple homes at one time. We offer multiple pricing structures for single family, large twins, townhomes and condos. Playgrounds and walkways too at a price everyone will be able to afford to keep the community looking great! Please consider us for all your HOA’s outdoor structural cleaning needs.
What happens if it rains?

We can work if it’s raining, we just will not work if it is extremely stormy or lightning outside. Safety is our number one goal for our staff and for our customers. We can wash houses in light rain and do sidewalks and driveways. Unfortunately, due to the process of cleaning a roof, no roofs can be washed during a rainstorm. If it does rain while we’re at your home or business, we will come back to do the roof at our next and earliest convenience.

Do you wash Townhomes?

Yup! They can have their own set of challenges, especially the middle row units. But we have cleaned them before, and we will continue to do it. We have really long hoses and will do our best. If we can’t perform our duties efficiently will advise you during the free estimate process.

Do I need to move my patio/deck furniture?

Unfortunately, you do, in order to protect your furniture and belongings that are outside everything close to the home must be moved away. If there are very heavy objects, like grills or eating tables or heavy, ornamental statues, we can throw tarps over them. Listed in our Terms and Conditions you will find all the things you will need to address prior to our visit and moving furniture is definitely one of those items. If you are unable to do it, for a small fee, we can move and put it back when we are done.

Do I need to remove my screens from my window?
We use surfactants in our detergents, they can be really sticky and tacky. Since we have to really rinse those windows thoroughly, we most definitely encourage you to remove the screens. This way, while we rinse over and over, the dirt build up on the exterior sills will come clean as well. If you can’t remove them, we will do our best. Side note, the rinsing without screen removal could lead to dirty stains reappearing as the water trapped in leaks out with the debris. So, we do recommend you try to remove them. You’ll thank us for having you take the extra steps.
Do you bring your own water?

We do start every job by bringing water but we will need a functioning exterior water hookup to complete the project. If you have not checked or used your hose connections in a while, it is a good idea to test it before we arrive to ensure it works and does not leak.
There is a common misconception that the water from outdoor spigots is expensive, but that isn’t true. Most often, 1,000 gallons of water costs from $4-$5, and the average residential job uses 100-400 gallons of water. For this reason, we usually encourage homeowners to let us hook up to their water supply, as it’s more economical. It is also common practice in the industry.

Do you do repairs?

We do not do any repairs while we are on your property. While we are cleaning, we will identify anything we think you should address, which is one of the reasons that you hire us to clean. We may make recommendations to have someone help you with other repairs. However, we are just the crew to clean it up and make it shine.

Do you re-sand pavers, stain decks or paint after cleaning?
We can clean, re-sand and seal pavers. We can also clean, strip, brighten and re-stain wood decks on a case by case bases. We do not do repairs or any construction work.
Do you wash windows?

We do not wash windows, unless it is a very specific circumstance. It’s typically done by specific companies that specialize in window cleaning. We can hit the lower level of your home with squeegees and make your windows very clean, but we cannot offer it as a blanket service to everyone. Some windows on homes are extremely hard to reach and are borderline dangerous. We will rinse your windows during the cleaning process, so they are streak-free prior to us leaving.
